Hello,

I am Kathy Carlson, Court Qualified, Certified Forensic Document Examiner.

If you have a document in question or already in litigation, I can help.

After my handwriting analysis examination I will give you a quick, honest opinion about your situation and give you a recommended next step.

I can provide a verbal opinion in most cases within 24 hours.

Most cases are settled out of court as a direct result of a document examiner's official Letter of Opinion. If your case does go to court I can be your expert witness.

My fees are among the lowest in the industry, always fairly billed, and no surprises.

Please take a moment to call me and discuss your case.

In every case, I'll be professional, quick, and honest. I don't waste my time or yours.

Call me first for any of the following document problems:

Forgery
 Identity Theft
 Questioned Signatures or Letters
 Questioned Wills
 Questioned Checks
 Anonymous Letters
 Altered Documents
 And many other situations

Document examination and handwriting identification is a process that is derived by the comparison of writing habits and evaluates the significance of their similarities and differences.  A person that performs this discipline is referred to as a forensic document examiner and sometimes called a handwriting expert or handwriting analyst.

Is forensic document examination an art or science?
It is a discipline that uses scientific instruments and methods. It is formulated and verifiable knowledge gathered by observation, research, and experiment, it is scientific knowledge.

Will this opinion be accepted in a court of law?
An expert witness is required to qualify in a court of law by decision of the judge. This decision is made by the judge not the attorney. Once an expert’s qualifications are accepted by the court, their opinion will be admissible.
